• Learn to Sew Garments with Fancy Tiger's Amber & Jaime! •

Join Fancy Tiger Crafts owners Jaime Jennings and Amber Corcoran for a weekend intensive to learn all about sewing garments! This retreat will focus on Fancy Tiger Craft's simple yet classic patterns: the Sailor Top, Fen Top and Dress, Wanderlust Tee, and Adventure Tanks. Build your handmade wardrobe with these versatile pieces in this weekend retreat. Amber and Jaime will cover the ins and outs of garment construction including taking measurements, choosing your size, cutting out your pattern, pattern markings, and working with knits and wovens. You will learn methods to finish seams, gathering, v-neck and round neck finishing with bias tape, and simple alterations for fit. Choose your favorite pieces to sew and leave with several new favorite garments!

Jaime and Amber are also avid knitters and this retreat will include evening open knitting time, a KAL just for us, and a tour of the Saco River Dye House in Biddeford, with a talk by Pam Allen, the owner of Quince & Co. yarns. So if you are a knitter who is curious about sewing garments, this will be a great place to try your hand at this process, with knitters to support you along the way!
